Somewhere along the way, we replaced blanket forts with inbox zero. Thank you for this soft interruption - this whispered permission slip. It reminded me that being human doesn’t require constant improvement. Sometimes it just asks that we sit still long enough to remember we were once small, and still worthy.

Yass!! Being human should simply mean to enjoy and be present, rather than to constantly chase perfection. Today, the world has conditioned us to believe in its definition of success, and we often follow it blindly. We forget how worthy we are as humans, just as we are. Soo happy you enjoy, and resonate!! <3

I really feel that adulting is about losing yourself to the ways of the world and then learning to get back to your authentic self by getting in touch with your inner child. This was a beautiful read! ♥️

I’d favour that too! Life really feels like a love-hate relationship sometimes—bad days, good days, and through it all, we feel alive just by being. The simple joy of just BEING. Sooo happy to have you here, Namratha! 💛

Lots of memories here, for all of us. I loved the part about laughing hard, weird...your laugh that comes easily like an old friend showing up uninvited. Made me laugh. Thanks for sharing. You are my 205th bedtime story...

I grew up on Memphis grit and Mississippi river magic—blues from Beale Street, wild feet dancing on riverboats before I could spell rhythm. My grandfather drove tugboats, pushed barges through fog like it was nothing. The river ran through him—and maybe through me too.

At three, I’m told I was the hit on any Riverboat Dinner- dancing like the sun was watching. No filter. No fear. Just freedom.

Now I live on a farm, and the ones who see my dances? Mostly chickens in the coop & my goose friends. But they don’t judge the offbeat moves—they just cluck approval and carry on.

That wild girl’s still here. Just got mud on her boots and chickens for an audience.

I love that your childhood dream of becoming a storyteller has come true. As a grandmother, this story resonates with me deeply. I lost my inner child when my children were little, and we all suffered from that. My 5 yr old granddaughter has discovered my inner child and we enjoy being silly together.
